Matt is a seasoned financial professional who began his career in 2010. He earned his bachelor’s degree in finance from Southern Connecticut State University in 2013 and further distinguished himself by earning the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation in 2017. With over a decade of experience, Matt brings a deep well of knowledge and expertise to his work, making him well-equipped to help clients achieve their financial goals.

Before joining Procyon in 2025, Matt served as President and Chief Executive Officer of Wooster Corthell, a registered investment advisory firm, which he led for three years. Throughout his career, Matt has maintained a steadfast commitment to acting as a fiduciary, always putting his clients’ best interests first. He focuses on building strong, lasting relationships and takes a personalized approach to financial planning. By gaining a clear understanding of each client’s unique needs and aspirations, he provides tailored advice designed to support their success.

Matt specializes in serving career executives within the defense and aerospace industries, along with professionals in accounting and nonprofit organizations. He recognizes the challenges and opportunities faced by his clients; from handling intricate compensation plans to securing their financial futures. His expertise enables him to deliver thoughtful strategies that reflect the specific demands of their professions, helping clients move forward with clarity and confidence in their financial journeys.

Outside of work, Matt enjoys hiking with his wife, Dana, and their Australian Shepherd, Mac. When not on the trails, they spend quality time together as a family with their young son, Cal, making memories and enjoying life’s simple moments.

Katherine has been a dedicated financial professional since 2012. Graduating from St. Lawrence University in 2011 with majors in Government and Psychology, she seamlessly blends analytical insight with an understanding of human behavior to navigate the financial industry. To further her expertise and build upon her passion for client service, she earned the Financial Paraplanner Qualified Professional (FPQP™) designation in 2014 and the Professional in Human Resources (PHR®) designation in 2019.

Katherine’s optimism and dedication in overseeing operations stem from her commitment to ensuring that clients’ experiences are met with patience and understanding. Prior to joining Procyon in 2025, Katherine operated as the Head of Human Resources, Chief Operating Officer, and Vice President at Wooster Corthell, an RIA based in Glastonbury, CT, for three years.

In her spare time, Katherine enjoys outdoor activities with her husband, Dan, and their two children. When not exploring the great outdoors, she can often be found immersed in the emotional world of theater.

Tim serves as a Managing Principal at Procyon, where he combines academic expertise with practical leadership to help guide the firm’s growth and vision. His approach integrates human resources, business administration, and organizational development, creating a culture that emphasizes excellence, collaboration, and accountability.

Tim holds a Doctor of Education (Ed.D.) and Education Specialist (Ed.S.) degree from the University of Michigan, a Master of Business Administration from the University of Kansas, a Master of Arts in Management and Leadership from Liberty University, and a Bachelor of Arts in History from the University of Michigan. He also maintains a Series 65 license and SHRM-CP certification. His diverse educational background provides a broad perspective on both business strategy and human performance.

Before joining Procyon, Tim began his career as an educator and later transitioned into business leadership, where he found his passion for helping organizations and individuals reach their potential. He is the author of The Special Sauce: Secrets of Successful Schools, which explores the principles of effective leadership and growth.

Outside of work, Tim enjoys traveling, reading, and attending sporting events. He and his wife, Holly, are proud parents of two children and enjoy spending time together as a family.

 

Jesse is a Senior Vice President and Private Wealth Advisor at Procyon, where he is recognized for his disciplined approach, market insight, and unwavering commitment to helping clients achieve their long-term financial goals.

Jesse began his financial career in 2006 after earning his degree in Finance from the University of Michigan. Over the years, he has developed deep expertise in investment research, retirement planning, and wealth management strategies. His prior experience as a carpenter, real estate agent, and property manager provides him with a grounded understanding of how hard work and thoughtful decision-making translate into lasting financial success. This diverse background allows him to connect with a wide range of clients and to create strategies that are both practical and results oriented.

At Procyon, Jesse is driven by the belief that success in investing requires both patience and precision. He works closely with clients to design retirement and investment plans that are customized, data-driven, and aligned with their values. Known for his strong analytical skills and steady temperament, Jesse helps clients remain focused on their long-term objectives.

Jesse and his wife, Libby, have three daughters. Outside of the office, he enjoys woodworking, spending time with family, and playing golf.

Joel is a Senior Vice President and Private Wealth Advisor at Procyon, bringing over twenty years of experience in the financial industry to his client relationships. Known for his genuine care, clear communication, and commitment to trust, Joel builds long-term partnerships that prioritize each client’s unique goals and circumstances.

He began his career in 1999 with a Michigan-based advisory firm and later held positions at Huntington Investment Company and Smith Barney. In 2009, during a challenging market environment, Joel and his wife founded their own firm to provide personalized, attentive service. This dedication to client-focused guidance continues today at Procyon, where he collaborates closely with the Investments Team to help clients navigate complex financial decisions with thoughtful structure and foresight.

As a Certified Financial Planner™ (CFP®) and Accredited Investment Fiduciary® (AIF®), Joel’s approach is grounded in sound planning and transparency, reflecting Procyon’s fiduciary principles and emphasis on disciplined, long-term strategies. He believes that sustainable financial success is built on a foundation of trust, education, and clear communication, ensuring clients feel confident and informed every step of the way.

Joel’s commitment extends beyond investment management; he takes pride in understanding the broader picture of his clients’ lives, including their family dynamics, philanthropic goals, and legacy planning. This holistic perspective allows him to tailor strategies that not only address immediate financial needs but also support long-term aspirations and values.

Outside of his professional life, Joel enjoys golfing and cherishing time with his family. He and his wife have two daughters who are pursuing careers in Christian music, a passion that reflects the family’s strong values and community involvement. Joel remains actively engaged in his local community, finding fulfillment in giving back and fostering connections beyond the office.

Sal joined Procyon as Principal, Senior Vice President, Senior Private Wealth Advisor, bringing more than 25 years of experience as a business owner and retirement advisor. Prior to joining Procyon, he built his career through Elite Retirement Consultants, LLC, helping individuals, families, and business owners navigate the complexities of retirement and wealth management.

Sal earned a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Seton Hall University and holds the Chartered Retirement Plans Specialist (CRPS®) and Certified Retirement Counselor (CRC®) designations, reflecting his knowledge of retirement planning, wealth preservation, and tax-efficient distribution strategies.

Sal’s primary focus is helping clients grow, preserve, and ultimately distribute their wealth tax-efficiently. He takes a comprehensive approach to financial planning, helping clients coordinate their investment, retirement income, tax, estate, and protection strategies. He finds particular satisfaction in guiding individuals and families toward financial independence and values the long-term relationships and trust that develop with clients over time.

Throughout his career, Sal has helped clients pursue their retirement and financial goals. He is also committed to giving back to his community and serves as a Trustee of the Newton Medical Center Foundation.

Outside of work, Sal resides in Sandyston, New Jersey, where he enjoys spending time with his family, playing golf, and traveling to Myrtle Beach.
