Tom has an extensive background in the retirement industry, starting from 1992. He specializes in meeting the needs of institutional clients by providing effective plan design, investment management, and participant education for both qualified and non-qualified retirement plans.

Prior to co-founding Procyon, Tom worked at the FDG Group at UBS, where he was an integral part of the Institutional Consulting and Retirement Plan Consulting Groups. He also gained valuable experience in the Retirement Financial Services division at HSBC Bank USA, where he was recognized for his innovative plan design strategies. Tom’s expertise and contributions led to his invitation to serve multiple cycles as a member of the company’s prestigious President’s Council.

Tom holds a B.A. degree in Economics, which he earned from SUNY Stony Brook. He has also obtained the Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC) designation, further demonstrating his commitment to professional excellence.

Residing in New York with his family, Tom enjoys golfing in his leisure time. He is also an avid supporter of his three children’s sporting events, actively participating in their activities.

Chris has an extensive background in wealth management, beginning his career in 2008. He is one of the Founding Partners of Procyon, where he plays a crucial role in serving institutional investors. Chris specializes in retirement plan consulting for both qualified and non-qualified plans, catering to a diverse range of clients that include some of the nation’s top companies.

As a retirement plan consulting specialist, Chris has developed a deep understanding of analytics, retirement plan design, and fiduciary best practices. He leads Procyon’s Investment Analyst group, providing clients with valuable insights on how these factors can enhance employee retirement outcomes and minimize organizational risk.

Before co-founding Procyon, Chris held several significant roles at the FDG Group within UBS. He served as a Senior Wealth Strategist, Institutional Analyst, and Senior Retirement Plan Consultant. During his time there, he was an active member of the firm’s Institutional and Retirement Plan Consulting Groups, contributing his expertise to the benefit of clients.

Chris obtained a B.S. degree in Finance and a B.A. degree in Political Science from the University of Connecticut. He has further enhanced his professional qualifications by earning the Certified Investment Management Analyst (CIMA®) and Chartered Retirement Plans Specialist (CRPS®) designations.

Chris’s extensive experience, qualifications, and dedication to serving institutional clients make him a valuable asset in the field of wealth management and retirement plan consulting. His expertise in investment analytics, plan design, and fiduciary best practices positions him well to guide clients towards achieving their financial goals while mitigating risk.

Outside of his professional endeavors, Chris resides in Glastonbury, CT, with his wife and two sons. He enjoys exploring new destinations through travel, engaging in outdoor activities such as skiing and golfing, and maintaining a balanced lifestyle.

Sean leverages over two decades of employee benefits expertise to help employers balance their business needs with their employee needs. He takes a personalized approach coupled with state-of-the-art technology to help deliver quality results. Sean is passionate about helping organizations attract and retain top talent through benefits products and services. He also specializes in property and casualty insurance and was named a Top Producer by Insurance Business of America.
Sean has also served as Senior Vice President of ACBI, Inc., where he established the Employee Benefits Division and oversaw Sales and Operations. He began his career at Sun Life Financial as an underwriter and then transitioned into a top-performing sales representative. He is a proud alumnus of UCONN, earning a bachelor’s degree in healthcare management & insurance studies.
Sean is an active community volunteer and enjoys giving back through various organizations. He currently serves on the board of directors for Connecticut Special Olympics and The Jimmy McGrath Foundation. Sean resides in Branford, CT, with his wife Kara and two children, Benjamin, and Vivian.

Melissa is an expert in client support and leads our client services team with her 20 years of experience in client management. She is dedicated to providing positive client experiences and building strong client relationships through effective communications and quality evergreen support.

Melissa has also served as Vice President of Employee Benefits at ACBI, Inc. She began her career as an underwriter at Sun Life Financial. She later transitioned into a client management role, where she developed a passion for client services and its high value.

Melissa graduated from Western New England University with a bachelor’s degree in business administration.  She currently resides in South Windsor, CT, with her husband Christopher and two daughters, Lena and Vienna.

Jim Jeffery is a highly experienced financial advisor with a deep understanding of financial and capital markets. He specializes in providing financial advisory services to senior living organizations and high-net-worth families, drawing upon his extensive expertise.

Jim’s involvement in the senior living industry began during his tenure as Executive VP & Head of Underwriting at Herbert J. Sims & Co. He developed a keen interest in assisting Life Plan Communities and Continuing Care Retirement Communities (CCRCs) in creating investment policies that effectively balance their assets and liabilities. With his direct experience in underwriting, structuring, and re-structuring CCRC bond issues, he brings a unique perspective to his clients.

Driven by his mission to prioritize client interests, Jim aims to build a private client advisory and senior living consulting practice that upholds high standards of integrity, performance, and personalized attention. He places great emphasis on delivering value-added services to his clients.

Jim holds an M.B.A. from New York University and has earned the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA®) designation, demonstrating his commitment to professional excellence. He is a member of the CFA Institute and the New York Society of Security Analysts, actively engaging with professional networks in his field.

With his wealth of experience, financial acumen, and dedication to client-centered advisory services, Jim Jeffery is well-equipped to guide senior living organizations and high-net-worth families towards their financial goals. His commitment to integrity and personalized attention sets him apart as a trusted advisor in the industry.

Beyond his professional endeavors, Jim resides in Manhattan with his wife. He enjoys skiing, golfing, and playing the guitar. Spending quality time with his two adult children is also an important part of his life.

Amber has dedicated her career since 2007 to assisting America’s workforce in achieving their retirement goals on their own terms. As a Retirement Plan Consultant, she collaborates closely with plan sponsors to develop tailored solutions that promote retirement readiness for employees.

Amber holds a B.S. degree in Business Administration from East Carolina University, providing her with a solid foundation in the field. She has also earned the Chartered Retirement Plans Specialist (CRPS®) and Certified Plan Fiduciary Advisor (CPFA®) designations, demonstrating her expertise in retirement plan consulting.

With her extensive experience, specialized designations, and commitment to helping individuals achieve retirement readiness, Amber is well-equipped to guide plan sponsors and employees toward successful retirement outcomes. Her accolades and passion for her work demonstrate her dedication to excellence and making a positive impact in the field of retirement planning.

Amber’s deep connection to her southern heritage is evident in her passion for college football. Alongside being a co-founder of the WOW Collaborative, she calls Haddam, CT, home, where she resides with her family and their affectionate, fun-loving canine companion.

Alex is an accomplished financial analyst with over a decade of experience in employee benefits marketing, underwriting and management. Working within the benefits consulting environment at Procyon, he leads the development of financial models, claims analysis, and renewal projections to help clients make informed, data-driven decisions.

Before joining Procyon, Alex held similar roles at both the carrier and brokerage sides of the industry partnering with all group sizes and funding arrangements. He excels at translating complex data into strategic insight, carrier negotiations, and supporting client cost-control efforts.

Alex earned his bachelor’s degree from Eastern Connecticut State University. He lives in North Haven, CT with his wife, Sara, and their two children, Easton and Cade. Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with his family and playing basketball.

Rich brings extensive financial experience to his role at Procyon, with a career spanning back to 1992. His expertise lies in employer retirement plans, with a particular focus on governmental 457(b) plans. As a Senior Education Consultant, Rich is dedicated to helping individuals understand their retirement benefits, guiding them through plan enrollment, investment allocation, and retirement preparation.

Prior to joining Procyon, Rich worked with the FDG Group at UBS, Prudential Retirement Services, and served as a wholesaler for Alliance Bernstein, covering various financial channels. These roles have provided him with a broad understanding of the financial industry and have honed his skills in retirement planning and education.
Rich holds a B.A. degree in Business Marketing from Albright College. His educational background has equipped him with the knowledge and skills necessary to navigate the world of financial services.

With his extensive financial experience and focus on retirement planning, Rich is well-positioned to assist individuals in understanding their retirement benefits and making informed decisions about their financial futures. His passion for sports and dedication to providing education and guidance make him a valuable asset in helping clients prepare for retirement.

Beyond his professional pursuits, Rich has a passion for sports, particularly baseball. He resides in Little Falls, NJ, with his wife and son, enjoying the company of his family in his leisure time.

Natalia serves as the primary point of contact for day-to-day client service needs and is responsible for the project management and execution of tasks throughout the plan year. She is committed to helping clients navigate the increasingly complex employee benefits landscape by building trusted relationships and operating as an extension of their benefits team.

Prior to joining Procyon, Natalia has served in similar client support roles at other employee benefits consulting firms where she gained experience in compliance, vendor management, benefit implementations, evaluating non-health plan solutions, and M&A. Equally important, she has supported clients of all sizes in a myriad of industries.

Natalia graduated from the University of Connecticut (Storrs) with a Bachelor of Science in Healthcare Management and Insurance Studies and a Bachelor of Arts in Spanish. She currently resides in Connecticut with her husband, Matthew, and pet cat, Ajax.

Katiria joins Procyon Benefits with 10 years of health insurance industry experience. Through her experience she has become a benefit expert who understands the importance of educating members on benefits, claims and insurance processes.

Prior to Procyon, Katiria worked at PPI Benefit Solutions as a Benefits and Billing Client Administrator. In this role, she worked closely with employer groups, brokers, and insurance carriers to assist with trouble shooting, problem resolution and ensuring repeat business. Katiria also previously worked as a premium auditor for NEIS conducting audits on workers compensation and general liability policies.  Katiria’ s attentive nature and willingness to go above and beyond helps foster genuine connections and relationships that enhance the client experience.

Katiria graduated in 2009 from Post University with a bachelor’s in biology.

In her spare time, Katiria enjoys spending quality time with her two children and fur babies. She enjoys staying active by exercising and playing basketball.

Terry joined Procyon originally as a Client Service Associate for our Private Wealth Clients, bringing with her a depth of experience from previous roles in the financial services sector. Her dedication to providing exceptional client experiences, coupled with her certification as a CFP® (CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™) practitioner make her an asset to the Procyon team. Terry, having served as an Associate Financial Planner, now works alongside our Institutional Client team as Institutional Operations Manager, helping to serve our retirement plan partners and their respective participants.

With over 20 years of commitment to serving clients, Terry’s hands-on experience in wealth management operations makes her a valuable contributor to the firm. Her hardworking nature, extensive knowledge, and empathetic personality enable her to serve clients and advisors with the utmost care and attention to detail.

Terry earned her Master of Science degree in Financial Planning and Economic Development from the University of Georgia. Her love of learning continues to drive her success as she works on her CRPS® (CHARTERED RETIREMENT PLAN SPECIALIST™) certification through the College of Financial Planning. This educational background enhances her expertise and enables her to provide clients with the highest level of service.
